Our Mission

We want to build thriving communities of education professionals, who collaborate to solve problems. Through this community, members will learn about timely and relevant topics and share resources that will immediately benefit them and their school.

Most importantly, we want our members to develop strong and lasting connections with other professionals who will be able to support each other long into the future.

Member Feedback

The feedback remains positive across the board. Members are happy with most of the content presented and with the resources that they receive afterwards. They would like to see more interaction within the network. Across the strands the following was the feedback:

What members liked about the live sessions:

  • The sessions were informative and resourceful

  • There was great engagement with peers and learning about how things are done in other

    settings

  • Break-out rooms are very popular and active

  • The speakers were greatly appreciated

  • Participants valued hearing examples of work from other schools and receiving the shared

    resources

What we can do to improve:

  • Review session timing and frequency – participants are tired after a day’s work for a three- hour session and for some the start time clashes with other commitments

  • Meet on more specific topics within each strand

  • Prepare and share an agenda before the meeting

  • Include more case studies and more time for discussions

  • Advertise so that more people are attracted to the PLNs and join

Summary

It is very important to review the timing and the frequency of the sessions, to make sure that they are support most members our members. The efforts the moderators are making to bring in relevant speakers, showcase resources and case studies are highly appreciated and this is helping participants get new ideas new ideas that immediately benefit them and their school.
