Coaching Circles providing
focused, peer-to-peer support

Professional learning deserves professional facilitation.

We’ve all experienced it: a room full of colleagues, a dense slide deck, and a session where the facilitator is working harder than anyone else.

Most educator-leaders are deeply knowledgeable in their subject areas. Few have been taught the specific craft of designing and facilitating adult learning. The result is professional development that feels heavy, inconsistent, and difficult to translate into practice.

Facilitation Academy is a structured, practice-based programme designed by PD Academia's master practitioners, to strengthen the craft behind internal professional learning — turning your school’s expertise into credible, well-designed adult learning experiences.

Small-Group Coaching

Move beyond the screen with mandatory Coaching Circles (groups of 4-6) to refine your design before you go live.

Good facilitation blends instinct with design.

Here’s what that looks like:

It’s Not Just Theory

You don’t just learn about facilitation; you design and deliver a Facilitation Moment in your own professional context.

Small-Group Coaching

Move beyond the webinars with Coaching Circles (groups of 4-6) to refine your design before you go live.

Engage-Explore-Extend Framework

Cross-School Perspective

Connect with a diverse cohort of educators to share challenges and insights.

Who is this for?

The Facilitation Academy is designed for schools and education professionals that are ready to move beyond "passive PD" and develop the craft of adult learning.

Note to School Leaders

This program isn’t about turning teachers into consultants. It’s about equipping the educators already in your building—Department Heads, Coaches, and Lead Teachers—to do their work with more skill and credibility. Stronger internal facilitation means:

  1. Reduced risk of poor internal professional learning.

  2. Higher ROI on the expertise you already have in-house.

  3. Less reliance on expensive external providers.

Ready to Step In?

The Facilitation Academy is a practice-based lab. To ensure the best experience for the cohort, we look for three things:

1. A Real Opportunity

You need a "live" facilitation moment (a meeting, workshop, or PLC) scheduled for Weeks 6-7 of the program to use as your test case.

2. Live Attendance

This is a collaborative program, not a webinar series. Live participation is required for all 5 sessions and your coaching circle.

3. A Brief Application

We’ll ask for your current role, your goals, and a quick description of the session you plan to design.

How to Apply?

  • Individual Applicants: Click “Apply Individually” to start your brief application.

  • School Teams: Once we receive your school’s initial inquiry, each team member will be sent a link to complete their own short form.

Places are allocated first-come, first-served. To keep coaching personal, we cap the cohort at 30 participants.
