COHORT-BASED ONLINE PROGRAM
Stop hoping your internal PD gets better. Start building the capacity to make it better.
A 7-weel program that develops educators who can design and facilitate professional learning that is purposeful, credible, and effective inside real school systems.
7 weeks
April 27 - Mid-June 2026
5 virtual sessions
90-min deep dives into the facilitation craft
Capstone Project
1 Live Facilitation Moment delivered in your own school
Curated Feedback Loops
Coaching Circles providing
focused, peer-to-peer support
We’ve all been there: a room full of tired teachers, a stack of slides, and a “facilitator” who is working harder than the participants.
Most educator-leaders are experts in their subject matter, but they’ve never been taught the specific craft of adult facilitation. The result? A "sit and get" culture that drains morale and fails to shift practice.
There is a better way.
The Facilitation Academy Master Program is a clinical, practice-based roadmap designed by Claire Peet to turn your internal expertise into impactful, credible professional learning.
Small-Group Coaching
Move beyond the screen with mandatory Coaching Circles (groups of 4-6) to refine your design before you go live.
Why this is the better way
It’s Not Theory
You don’t just learn about facilitation; you design and deliver a Facilitation Moment in your own school context.
Small-Group Coaching
Move beyond the screen with mandatory Coaching Circles (groups of 4-6) to refine your design before you go live.
The ENGAGE-EXPLORE-EXTEND Framework
A repeatable, non-gimmicky scaffolding for any session, from 20-minute briefings to full-day workshops.
Cross-School Perspective
Connect with a diverse cohort of leaders from across the system to share challenges and insights.
Who is this for?
The Facilitation Academy is designed for schools that are ready to move beyond "passive PD" and for educators who are ready to master the craft of adult learning.
For the School
This is for leadership teams who want to:
-
Stop looking outside for expertise you already have in-house. Empower your best teachers to lead their peers effectively.
-
Create a shared language and high standard for what professional learning looks like across every department and key stage.
-
Eliminate the risk of poorly designed sessions that drain staff morale and yield zero classroom impact.
-
Foster a climate where peer-led learning is professional, purposeful, and highly respected.
For the Educator
This is for you if you are a Lead Teacher, Department Head, Instructional Coach, or aspiring leader who:
-
You are already responsible for (or will soon be) facilitating PLCs, staff workshops, or internal training.
-
You want to move beyond "presenting slides" and learn how to actually navigate group dynamics and adult resistance.
-
You don't just want to talk about facilitation; you want a proven framework (ENGAGE-EXPLORE-EXTEND) you can use on Monday morning.
-
You are ready to have your design "pressure-tested" by experts and peers in a high-proximity coaching environment.
How it works
Week 1
Foundations
Adult learning vs. Student learning. Introduction to the So What/Now What framework.
Week 2
Purpose-First
Designing for problems, not content. Crafting the "Hook" (The first 10%).
Week 3
Coaching
Mandatory Coaching Circle: Refining your purpose and outcomes with peers.
Week 4
The Core
Designing active EXPLORE phases (The 70%) and navigating participant resistance.
Week 5
Refinement
Optional rehearsal and peer-led hubs. Finalizing your session tools.
Week 5-6
Capstone Project
The Practicum: Deliver a live session in your school and collect real feedback.
Week 7
Integration
Structured reflection, analyzing feedback, and naming your next growth edge.
Note to School Leaders
This program isn’t about turning teachers into consultants. It’s about equipping the educators already in your building—Department Heads, Coaches, and Lead Teachers—to do their work with more skill and credibility. Stronger internal facilitation means:
Reduced risk of poor internal professional learning.
Higher ROI on the expertise you already have in-house.
Less reliance on expensive external providers.
"I understand what facilitation actually is now and I know exactly what I still need to work on." —

Ready to Step In?
The Facilitation Academy is a practice-based lab. To ensure the best experience for the cohort, we look for three things:
1. A Real Opportunity
You need a "live" facilitation moment (a meeting, workshop, or PLC) scheduled for Weeks 5-6 of the program to use as your test case.
2. Live Attendance
This is a collaborative program, not a webinar series. Live participation is required for all 5 sessions and your coaching circle. All live sessions are on Wednesdays, 4:00 to 5:30pm GMT+8.
3. A Brief Application
We’ll ask for your current role, your goals, and a quick description of the session you plan to design.
How to Apply?
Individual Applicants: Click “Apply Individually” to start your brief application.
School Teams: Once we receive your school’s initial inquiry, each team member will be sent a link to complete their own short form.
Places are allocated first-come, first-served. To keep coaching personal, we cap the cohort at 26 participants.
Your Questions, Answered
-
The "Facilitation Moment" is a core requirement. If you don’t have a formal PD session on the calendar, you can create a "cohort test scale" event—such as a 30-minute department pilot or a PLC session—as long as you are facilitating real adults in a real school context.
-
No. Because this program relies on peer-to-peer coaching and live design work, live attendance is mandatory. We limit the cohort to 26 to ensure everyone is an active participant, not a passive viewer.
-
Not at all. This program is for anyone responsible for leading adult learning, whether you are a seasoned leader looking to refine your craft or a new Lead Teacher feeling like you're "winging it."
-
Outside of the 90-minute live sessions, you should set aside about 60 minutes for "Between-Session Work." This isn't extra homework—it is the actual design time for the facilitation session you’ll be delivering in Weeks 5–6.
-
No. While your team will share a common language and framework, each team member can design and deliver their own individual "Facilitation Moment" based on their specific role or department needs.
-
Once we reach 26 participants, we will open a waitlist. Those on the waitlist will receive priority registration for Cohort 2 (dates to be announced).
